Jack Grisham for California Governor!

by Meriadoc H. Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003 at 6:31 PM

Jack Grisham, frontman of old school punk band TSOL is running for governor.

Jack Grisham is running for governor of California (independent). Please go to his site and read about his platform. He has a lot of great ideas which include better/more affordable health care, clean beaches, legalization for immigrants and more. I know some people here will agree with him on many things, I know I sure do.

Mr. Grisham,

I saw you on the 11:00 news Wednesday evening, and for the first time I found someone who knows what it is like to not be able to get insurance, and who hopefully has a voice. I am a retired police officer who has had cancer. Now 3 years into remission, and my husband leaving after 21 years, I am faced with the possiblity of now insurance coverage in six months, because I have had cancer. Insurance companies require you to be clean for 10 years! How ridiculous. They could do a waiting perios of 3 years, let you purchase the insurance, pay the premiums, and they would probably still make money should you have a relapse, because more than likely, you wouldn't last more than six months. Now here I am at 52, with having the fourtune to pick my own specialist, but I may be without insurance in six months.!!!! I relate to what you said, and being a father and husband, it is a scarey thing to be without insurance.

You can be assured of my vote,

Sincerely,

Lynn Forrester

It is about time that a non-professional, 'real' person to run for public office. I highly comment Mr. Grisham for his candor and direct thoughts on how to improve the state he has grown up in. I wish him the best of luck in his endeavors. He has my vote!

So does that mean Jack will get at least two votes now?

Wow! I'm impressed.

NICE ESSAY, C+

by EMMA Monday, Aug. 18, 2003 at 10:43 PM

hey thanks for the essay. didn't have time to read it, but it seems lengthy for someone so uninterested. Post some more crap for yourself to read. If it's so carnival, why do you keep coming back? You want this us carnies to guess your weight, or did you include that in your essay? Sorry to give ya the impression that your opinion was relevant. I shouldn't amuse myself at the expense of others, even if they are inbred. (Sarcasm)

XOXO

That Puddenhead acting up again? Just ignore him. He's just a greedy interloper anyways. Not too bright.

ha ha haha

by mrs wilson Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003 at 5:04 AM

Honey, you need to be nicer to these people in California.

When you write things like -"Washed Up Punk Musician for Governor" campaign and then dont tell the people that you voted for a "Washed Up Bad Actor for President" (reagan)---

Well baby, it makes you look like a hypocrite....

Now move out of the way of the television so I can finish watching my Oprah show.

Have another chunk
