Tuesday, another G.I. killed in Iraq

by peace dove Wednesday, Jul. 23, 2003 at 12:15 PM

Another funeral for some poor family in the U.S., stunned that lies were used to start a war and stunned that no weapons of mass destruction have been found.

Soldier killed in ambush north of Baghdad

Tuesday, July 22, 2003

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP)

A U.S. soldier was killed and another wounded Tuesday in an ambush along a dangerous road north of Baghdad in the "Sunni Triangle," the U.S. military reported.

The soldier's death brought to 153 the number of U.S. troops killed in action since the March 20 start of war --six more than during the 1991 Gulf War.

Central Command in Tampa, Fla., said the attackers used rocket-propelled grenades and small arms in the assault staged along the road between Balad, 50 miles north of Baghdad, and Ramadi, 60 miles west of the capital.

Both towns lie within the "Sunni Triangle," so named because it is home to much of the remaining support for ousted dictator Saddam Hussein, a Sunni Muslim who used his Baathist Party to oppress the country's Shiite Muslim majority.

The military had no other details on the attack, many of which lately have been staged with remote-controlled roadside explosions.

When will they end the occupation?

When will it end?

by Eddie Thursday, Jul. 24, 2003 at 2:46 AM

Like the occupations of Japan and Germany, this occupation will end when Iraqis produce a constitution and elect their first government. Estimates are 2-4 years. Like Japan and Germany, a US military presence, to some degree, may go on indefinitely.

It ended yesterday

hype

we can't know if these alleged antius attacks in iraq are treu or spin, but we do know whom they benefit:

the bush thugs who make zillions every day from oil/reconstruction/logistics deals and who would run out of excuses to stay on in iraq were it non for these alleged attacks and the alleged saddam behind them.

no authentic resistance in history ever surfaced without big-power backup:

vietnam had russia and china, the italian partisans had us/GB.

but these alleged iraqis have noone but...bush:

gettin'the drift?
