GULF WAR VETERANS ASSOCIATION QUESTIONS WHO STARTED THE OIL WELL FIRES IN KUWAIT.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 19, 2003
For the past six years, the American Gulf War Veterans Association have received numerous reports from veterans stating that US forces were responsible for the setting of the oil well fires at the end of the Gulf War. These testimonies are now being taken very seriously in light of recent revelations of the events that occurred during the first Gulf War. Joyce Riley, spokesperson for The American Gulf War Veterans Association is quoted as saying: “There was intentional misinformation given to the American people to generate support for Desert Storm often created by advertising agencies such as Hill and Knowlton.” * Revelations regarding the “Incubator story,” in which Republican Guard were reported to have thrown babies out of their incubators onto the cold floor turned out to be false and a “fraud on the American People.” (S.R. 103-900). * The St. Petersburg Times disproved the report of satellite photos showing a thousand Iraqi tanks amassing on the Saudi border. * April Glaspie, US Ambassador, gave tacit approval to Saddam Hussein to invade Iraq by saying, “We have no opinion on…your border dispute with Kuwait.” * John Shalikashvilli, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and William Perry, Secretary of Defense wrote in a memo (obtained by the AGWVA) on May 25, 1994, “There is no information, classified or unclassified that indicates that chemical or biological weapons were used in the Persian Gulf.” General Norman Schwartzkopf’s NBC (nuclear, biological and chemical) logs (also obtained by the AGWVA) dated Feb. 27, 1991, and March 3, 1991, clearly disprove the above statement. One veteran has now stepped forward and given a detailed account of how he and others in special teams, moved forward of the front, (behind enemy lines ahead of US forces) and then set charges on the well heads. “We were mustered into the briefing tent at which point a gentleman whom I first had thought to be an American began to brief us on the operation. I was concerned because he was not wearing a US uniform and insignias.” The information provided over a series of meetings with this veteran corroborates reports from other veterans who are totally unconnected with this individual. This testimony brings into serious question the integrity of the US government, as it provided information to the American public and military during the last Gulf War. The American Gulf War Veterans Association is presently dissenting on the war and has been joined by The British Gulf War Veterans and Families Association. Riley states that: “Not only is it our opinion that the Department of Defense has not been forthcoming about the severity of our military’s illnesses, significant concern is now being raised over the causation as well.”

It is intended to further the lie that nothing is happening and that is a lie.
That is why Circle is here.
Demoralize the opposition by telling them they are not accomplishing anything.
Bush had to forgo his visit to Philly because he had 10,000 people eager for him to show up so they could express their opposition.
That is an accomplishment.
It has been picked up in the International Press although the Lapdog Lickspittle U.S. Controlled News Whores have tried to downplay it.
We did not get into our current mess overnight.
We face a long Battle to reclaim our Rights.
I'm not quitting.
Neither are a lot of other people.
Their number grows each day.
It will not end with Bush's Impeachment.
That will only be a milestone.
The Giant is Waking.

We are everywhere! There were 10's of thousands of us in Philly! We could have called up legions more! The US and the world is in a huge mess! Our numbers grow by the millions everyday! We are not quitting! We are going to sit down and talk about this.

It's unfortunate that these Gulf War veterans who speak out against the oil well fires never wish to provide their names. It almost makes you think that somebody is making the whole thing up...
Remember this: The Bush (41) administration warned Saddam that if he destroyed Kuwait's wells, the coalition was free to march on Baghdad. You'd think in the "Grand Conspiracy of Iraq '91-'03", the US would have taken the opportunity for regime change after the wells were alight. After all, they could have gained control of the oil AND provided money to their friends at Halliburton. But that didn't happen. Why? Because the whole Conspiracy is a fabrication of the deluded. And so are "news releases" like the trash at the top of this page. Don't you realize that you are being played? Organizations like the official-sounding 'American Gulf War Veterans Association' exist simply to sell books and tapes to the gullible. Don't be such suckers.
When a story as earth-shattering as this one conveniently fails to name any sources, you should at least be sceptical. Damn.

The American Gulf War Veterans Association (AGWVA) was established with one goal in mind: To obtain treatment for those service members and their families who experience symptoms collectively known as the "Gulf War Illness". However, there is more to this issue than meets the eye. As this investigation into causation has now progressed into the arena of possible exposure to chemical and/or biological agents, radiation poisoning due to the use of depleted uranium and most disturbingly, the use of our fighting men and women as "Guinea Pigs" in medical experimentation, the AGWVA has now added a second goal: To obtain justice and compensation for all those affected by these illnesses. Our troops returned home after serving their country with an illness that appears to be spreading into the general population, treatment is being denied and to date there are no safeguards of our blood supply. Those responsible have passed the burden of proof onto those that are suffering and least able to fight the enormous bureaucracy of governmental agencies that are more concerned with avoiding admission. America wants to know why.
For over three years the AGWVA has been embarking on this search for the truth and the documentation that we have compiled is voluminous. The Pentagon, DOD, Veterans Administration, Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs, Congressional Investigation into Gulf War Illness, the Presidential Advisory Committee and the Government Accounting Office have collectively spent over $100,000,000 "researching" the Gulf War Illness. Little if any of that funding has been used for the real treatment of the 700,000 troops that served in the conflict, over 100,000 have signed on with the Persian Gulf registry. 90% of those that contact the AGWVA report they are offered Prozac or some other psychotropic drug by DoD facilities. The numbers alone demonstrate that the gulfwar illness has spread into epidemic proportions. Meanwhile, government bureaucracy, public officials and military leaders have continually turned their backs on their own country's defenders. America deserves to know why.
The mainstream media has also turned its back on the veterans and have shirked their responsibility to the American people to be the watchdog of government. With the exception of talk radio, local television coverage and hometown newspapers, the networks and news services have done nothing more than parrot "official reports" offered to them by the very agencies that require investigation. Evidence from senate reports, congressional hearings, government documents and testimony from eyewitnesses have been ignored and gone unreported. America demands to know why.
Justice can only be obtained in the court of public opinion, and until the public knows the truth, there can be no justice. Truth and justice are the American way and the AGWVA is dedicated to finding the truth, educating the public and obtaining justice for the sake of all Americans. There can be a million lies, but there is only ONE truth and in the battle for truth, the lie is always the casualty. If professional careers are destroyed, if personal fortunes are decimated, or if prominent individuals are found guilty of criminal charges, let it be seen as nothing more than a side effect from the administration of a healthy dose of truth. We ask for your support and involvement in this effort to expose the truth because we believe that America is worth it. We hope you do too. We will not stop.
