Patriot Bar Project

FluxRostrum@graffiti.net earth

No matter what the issue is ... the answer is ... get everybody to vote. You wanna feel represented.. get everybody you know to vote.

Lack of Voter Turn Out is THE PROBLEM.

74% of U.S. did NOT vote for the squatter.
What would our world look like today if the 48% who didn't bother to vote had voted.

Here's an idea that I would like to see implemented in an effort to correct our imbalance of power; shifting it back into the hands of "the people" where it belongs.

The Patriot Bar Project
Because just waving a flag does not make you patriotic, informed or a good citizen.
It's time to raise the bar.

Goal:
To register disenfranchised voters and encourage discussion about Political issues and candidates by enrolling independently owned businesses in a program that requires American citizens of legal voting age to be registered to vote before being served by participating businesses.

Target Businesses:
Neighborhood bars and Independently owned coffee shops, bowling alleys, etc.;
any business willing to participate; nationwide.

Logistics:
Voter registration and political pamphlets will be made available to all participating establishments; along with a supply of PBP Cards, to be used in gaining access to other participating businesses without having to re-prove registration. Alternate uses of PBP Cards would be to offer discounts or specials to PBP Card carriers in businesses that choose to not participate fully. Signs and posters explaining the program, it's goals and motivation will also be supplied.

Motivation:
The highest Presidential Election voter turnout since 1924 was 61.9% of eligible voters. So 32% is all anyone needs to be President. That's Pathetic! Americans on all sides of the issues consider themselves patriotic and not really represented by our government. Yet 40 - 60 % of these Patriotic Americans do not participate in the most patriot duty of any citizen of a Democracy. The only hope for We The People to be represented by our government is to get everyone to vote.

If politicians knew that everyone was paying attention, would not accept being lied to and would vote them out; then I believe they would be much more responsive to U.S.

If you are not registered or would like more info about why or how; Go Here.

or if you have any thoughts on improving it.
