Repressed homosexuality expressed as enthusiasm for rigid sex roles and admiration for males who are supposedly muscular, have large godads, and love violence and killing? A rigid, authoritarian upbringing in childhood that left you with an anal-compulsive personality, repressed rage against one or both of your parents disguised as macho toughness, and a tendency to admire militarism, imperialism and war?

You should read The Authoritarian Personality by Theodore Adorno. Technically, it is a study of what kind of personalities might be attracted to fascism under certain social conditions. But I think you may find some insights into your own behavior and your feelings of rage if you read it. Therapy with a progressive psychologist or psychiatrist will help as well; many insurance plans pay for most or all of such therapy.
