PBS ( Pentagon Broadcasting System) does it again. Tonight on Frontline we heard the all too often repeated message Washington bureaucracy thrives on: BE AFRAID AMERICA! BE VERY AFRAID!!!!

Now it's CYBER WAR. If we don't give Washington tons of money to protect and surveil the Internet, why it could well be the end of civilization itself!!!!! No doubt Michael Moore is literally pulling his hair out.

The enemy is coming at us through unprotected airports. They're coming at us with anthrax through the unprotected mail. And surely they are coming at us through the World Wide Web.

You know what, if I leave my house today without an armored escort, anyone who pulled up alongside of me could very well successfully attack me. And this goes for almost any other regular American. We don't worry about this obvious vulnerability though because we know we haven't done anything to provoke such a violent occurrence.

What I find totally repugnant and inexcusable is that our government friendly media, like the good ol' Pentagon Broadcasting System, goes on and on about how we must empower the government in order to protect us, but they never ask the question which should be being asked above all others: Why the fuck are so many people out to attack us in the first place?

Maybe if our greedy arrogant friends in Washington weren't so busy murdering and pillaging nations around the globe in order to establish an American Empire, we might actually have folks who were eager to help our country grow and prosper, not try and bring us to our knees.

But this question is never seriously explored. After all, it doesn't need to be. The all-knowing, all-powerful George Bush II has spoken. Our enemies hate us because they are jealous. That's it. No more discussion needed.

One of these days we'll have a major media channel which will constantly question authority instead of deliver the government line. Until then, those in Washington, such as Richard Perle with his investments in security firms, will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Like anything else this junta is interested in, it all boils down to money. Keep people scared and they won't mind being set up for massive financial failures.

Time to ratchet up the war tax another $100 billion. Let's see, we can close down the libraries and sell off the paintings in the Natl Gallery while we are at it.
