Even though the war is supposedly over, people showed up nonetheless on Friday 11th at the corner of Palms and McLaughlin in Mar Vista to protest against the invasion of Iraq. As usual protestors got a lot of support from the people passing by in their cars showing their support against US imperialism by honking their horns. “This movement is not only against the war on Iraq,” said a protestor, “it is for US and world demilitarization, and for more democratic national media among other things.”
The Mar Vista weekly Vigil is located at the corner of Palms & McLaughlin. We meet every Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. People will bring their own placard or banner.
Friendly debate between anti war protestors on the left and a pro war man on the right.
