There is a demented krew of rightwing freepers (more demented than your average FReepers (if that's possible)). They spam Independent Media and BBS systems aligned with the left. They often use porn to provoke compaints against websites. Their goal is to shut you down.

Kind of hypocritical that conservative platforms lean towards "protecting our children from the indignant", and they're going around spamming things with porn where kids could freely access it. That, and their website has a porn gallery on it. They want to talk about stereotypical liberals, well, I'm seeing a conservative stereotype here! The young ones seem to predominantly be hard-drinking, obnoxious heterosexual "Christian" (HA!) white males with a Freudian mindset. I saw a whole lot of that when the College Republicans showed up to our student strike. And I guess for all their whining about unfair media, they hate independent media if it's left-leaning.

With all due respect to Alcoholics Anonymous I have begun to notice that the pro war rallys do look a lot like AA meetings with flags and signs. And while AA does a great job and provides a valuable service it seems like some participants may believe war mongering is the 8th step in there program. I sure wouldn't want an AA participant making foriegn policy for my country... wasn't GW in AA...were in trouble.

The 12 Steps:

1. We admitted we were powerless over war-that our lives had become unmanageable.

2. Came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God AS WE UNDERSTOOD HIM.

11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God AS WE UNDERSTOOD HIM, praying only for knowledge of His will and the power to carry it out.

I don't think we would be at war if Bush was working a program (forgive me for taking his inventory- but i wouldn't be the first person to call him a dry drunk). People in 12 step groups are some of the most loving and caring people I have ever met. Many of them are anti-war. I wish we had a leader that practiced the principals of alcoholics anomynous in all of his affairs. Recovering alcoholics (those who work the steps) are pretty honest and admirable people.
