Ian has been released from jail, all charges dropped.
Just wanted to let everyone know that all charges against Ian have been dropped, and he has been released. We're assuming that the next step will be to file a complaint against the cop who beat him, so our call for video and witnesses stands. Thanks, everyone, for your good wishes.

Thanks, Ross, for the up-date on Ian. I am glad that he has been released and the charges dropped. How is he doing? Is his eye going to be OK?

it's important to go after these police with the most force we can. we're not kidding about stopping this war and the next one two. and we need to fight off these police if we're going to do it.

photos need to be publicized! remember what happened when Mitchell Crooks' video of the police assault on Donovan Jackson Chavis was publicized? i respect Ian Craig's right to privacy but if it is okay with him, photos should be found and released. even pictures of his injuries now could be effective in publicizing the brutality of this incident.

I posted on the other thread about me, so this will be brief.
I'm fine, LAPD sucks, I'm going to the hospital to get checked out by some competent doctors.
As for posting photos, knock yourself out. I'm personally going to contact the LA Times and get an 8x10 color glossy of the picture that appeared in the California Section of yesterday's paper and have it framed.
Thanks again for everyone's help...

Ian,
You are so incredibly brave and strong. I am so glad you are free again and that you are okay. We've been worried. I was arrested on Saturday and a group of us are organizing to figure out how to deal with our legal battles and publicity. I have been in contact with your two friends Ross and Jay- who have been working soooo hard to help you. They are truely amazing people as well. We would like for all of you to come to the meeting for the arrested and the assaulted on Thursday night at 7:30 pm at Solidarity Hall (2170 W. Washington Blvd). I hope to see you there. Peace be with all, Amanda

Its too bad for what happened, but you shouldn't have been there in the first place. The cops were probably mad that you were being a disgrace to your country with your anti american sentiment. I can't really hold the police responsible for your public disruptions. What are they supposed to do? Give you a hug for giving them trouble. A lot of cops served in the military and were probably pissed off that all of you seem to be on the side of the enemy. Maybe now you have a littel taste of what the Iraqi citizens get daily from Saddam. So go hug a tree and forget about it. Those officers were just trying to do their jobs.

...we are protesting their cowardly Chicken Hawk leaders who wouldn't know a round from a square.
Our men have been betrayed by a cabal who could care less about their well being as long as their deaths improve the Chicken Hawks personal interests.
If you are too stupid to see through the rhetoric and actually look at the facts then you are part of the problem.
Police exist to protect the community and defend our rights - not to behave like Storm Troopers for the Politically Correct Brown Shirt Right.

Exactly, Diogenes. Too bad the Bush Twins are not in the military. Maybe our asshole pResident might feel differently about sending our troops over there and slaughtering them for oil.

Officer Lib, I sure could use you in my planned invasion of Venezuela. Hell, my cuop attempt didn't work, so we'll have to play hardball. I get an erection everytime I think about seizing their oil reserves.

Wow! You know how to copy and paste the same message over and over on multiple threads? I was never able to master that. It is beyond my mental capabilities. Wait a second. I'll get my third grade buddy to show me how. After that, I'll screw his tight little butthole.
