While it is so frustrating to hear the media coverage of the war and anti-war, that the pentigon is selecting what we see and hear, that clear radio is using the political power of the dollar to blacklist speach, protesting at the biuldings of the media is only part of the message against the war that we need to send.
Horray to the lobor Unions in African nations who are planning to stop shipments from agressive countries.
Horray to stikers in Italy who are stopping buisness as usual.
Here in LA our cry has been No War in Iraq, No Blood for Oil, Healthcare not Warfare. Here in LA where 3 million of its 11 million are uninsured, and 20 of it's public clinics were closed for lack of funds, we resent our tax dollars being spent to kill, mame and distroy.
The current plan of Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors is to close a world renouned Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. Here insured and uninsured alike depend on a life line to keep them out of convelecent homes and its average death rate of 2 years.....is a good target of our anti war demonstrations. Shutting Rancho will bring more deaths from the war.
March 24 at noon will be a Rally and Press conference at Rancho to open "THE RANCH" tent city encampment on hospital grounds.
Protesters to the c;osure of the hospital will stay untill something is done.
Wednesday evening there will be speakers from Healthcare not Warfare.
We need your support.. Lets link the two struggles, as we know our safety net is linked to Bushes policies. Stop the killing here and IRAQ..No Blood For OIL.
Rancho is in Downey, on Imperial and Old River School Road between 710 Freeway and 605.
