Taking or sending flowers to the French Consulate is an effective way to say MERCI. It will be seen

by the entire staff for days; Thank our

oldest ally.

Yes Thank France

by Jeff Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2003 at 2:47 AM

I think we should thank France by leaving them alone(totally)

The next time they need our help let us do for them what thaey are doing for us.

We should have let the Germans kick the shit out of them.

Maybe next time.

I can not believe some of the people in this country, they have forgotten everything and their brain has gone to mush.

I believe France and Iraq have open borders, I think you should go.

The enemy is here.

by Sheepdog Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2003 at 2:59 AM

Why go anywhere when I can disassemble some

brownshirts right here? Waiting for an excuse

to vent some physical stress on the first dickweed

who tries to interfere with my constitutional rights

to voice my opposition to the scum occupying the

white house.

Oh PLEASE let it be someone like you.

Have a nice day.

French links with Saddam

by Barney Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2003 at 3:23 AM

See this SHORT piece form the BBC about the real reason for Chirac's so-called principled stance.

They've been selling stuff to Iraq all the time and a lot of money to lose when Saddam loses power.

So wake up, you silly persons.

Russia also has a lot of money to lose after the war.

Oops, sorry. This piece.

by Barney Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2003 at 3:36 AM

Chirac is a rotten fraud.

SA

by Sonia Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2003 at 5:04 AM

Actually not only has France been supplying Iraq with arms but so has America (at least 20 American countries were listed on the UN list), along with Germany and Japan...

Yes France have some sort of agreement with Iraq it seems with TotalFinaElf but I think their main concern is to prevent the spread of American Hegemony,

I do not want to persuade anyone but only to inform.

See: http://globalresearch.ca/articles/SAN303A.html

Get informed and not through watching CNN or BBC!

Not a bad thing

by Barney Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2003 at 5:36 AM

I don't think US hegemony is really such a bad thing. Better than being trampled by the likes of Saddam.

No right, whatsoever

by Jack Delaney Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2003 at 5:52 AM

I was going to go into tirade about the pea-brains who think the choice for the future is either US hegemony or being trammpled by Saddam, but instead,

how 'bout this:

If you're for this war, then enlist

or send your son

or grandson

and if you're not willing (or able) to do this, then

shut up- you have no right to urging on this war.

no right whatsoever.

and I don't care if you fought in World War I and World War II and Korea, and Vietnam

If you're not fighting in THIS war, then you have no right to be arguing for it.

period.

Freedom?

by Barney Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2003 at 7:07 AM

Just because I'm a non combatant you think I'm not entitled to speak out if I see an injustice being commited.

You anti-war people are doing an injustice to the people of Iraq who face at least another 10-15 years of brutal repression, living in fear day and night.

UN sanctions have killed over 1.000.000 people over there. Saddam has murdered millions more of his countrymen in futile wars and acts of repression.

Who gives you the right to speak for the silenced millions in Iraq? I'm sure their hearts are sinking at the sight of thousands of protesters out in the streets trying to stop their liberation.

You have no right to speak on their behalf.

Read this SHORT article below.

Kriest!

by Sheepdog Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2003 at 2:32 PM

Like we were concerned about human rights when we installed this guy. Get real, suddenly we care about the poor suffering people now? This is very tired SPAM used to justify mass slaughter to SAVE these folk? We'll kill them

to liberate them? Pure newspeak. I haven't seen the U.S.

EVER install a just and decent leader. Give me one example

and MAYBE this would hold water.

Sheepshit

by boink Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2003 at 3:24 PM

>I haven't seen the U.S. EVER install a just and decent leader. Give me one example and MAYBE this would hold water.

Name any country that has a "just and decent leader"? That's pretty subjective. I guarantee I can find flaws in anyone, including you, ESPECIALLY you.

Don't become the Don Quixote of LA. The uniform sux and I WILL make you wear it.

Nonsense

by Sheepdog Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2003 at 3:29 PM

I am dog. I have no known faults. Some times I leave out a letter or misspell some word just to make you feel better.

Can't come up with even one example huh?

Hey Sheepdog

by Barney Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2003 at 10:11 PM

The Kurds in N Iraq are doing fine. As for the other people the US has backed, don't they have bear 100% of the blame for the havoc they wresked on thier people.

Sheesh, the US can't be everywhere.

Reply to Bush admirer

by Jeff Thursday, Mar. 13, 2003 at 2:23 AM

Very true, on at least one point. The past government was shit.

As for the French, they have dissliked Americans for a long time. Sure the country is beautiful, but how else do we get their attention? I think we should let them know exactly how much money and business we send their way. (by cutting it off)

I believe it is about time we take America back. We need to know exactly who our friends are. I realize that our government has to be diplomatic, but I do not.

Boycott France!

Boycott the Earth!!!

by Earth:"Love It or leave it" Thursday, Mar. 13, 2003 at 3:05 AM

Jeez, it's getting more and more embarressing to be an American.

Why France,

hey, if you're going to boycott every country that thinks this administration is stupid, reckless, and immoral, don't limit yourself to France

Boycott the Chinese

(just stop buying just about everything)

Boycott the Germans

Boycott the Russians

And if you take public sentiment in account:

Then just boycott EVERY SINGLE COUNTRY ON EARTH. Because, there's not ONE country on earth that supports us (except, Israel, of course, ha ha)

Don't forget about America

by Pissed Off in Ohio Thursday, Mar. 13, 2003 at 3:28 AM

Gotta boycott us too.

Basically, everyone will need to boycott everyone except bush, his mafia, the press that perpetuates their bullshit, and these asshole rabid talkshow dickheads.

Who needs food and shelter anyways, we can survive just fine off hotair and beurocracy.

boink

by Pissed Off in Ohio Thursday, Mar. 13, 2003 at 3:39 AM

Your point about no one being perfect is only valid if all these other flawed leaders had a "foriegn policy" as judgemental and stilted towards violence as the "best solution".

We impose our violent, rabid idiocy on the rest of the world, or dubya does anyways, and in that regard our flaws have far exceeded everyone elses.

I'm french and then ?

by Phil Monday, Apr. 21, 2003 at 2:28 PM

First, I'm french... My english is not so good, but I'm gonna make some efforts to write in your language.

Here's my profile :

- I hate 15% of french people who voted for a nazi b*stard last year.

- I don't want to think an individual is formated according to the country he live in. Many french men and women are bloody stupid and so is a part of american people. If you think someone is a crap because he's american, french, iraqi, muslim, christian or jew, then you're just a f*ckin' facist.

- Some want to punish french people boycotting french products. I personally boycott McDonald's, Esso, Nike, Danone... not because they're french or american, but just because I won't give a buck to leading companies that wish to rule the world. Boycott's not a problem to me, so do it, but chose products to boycott. I'll personally keep promoting Rage Against The Machine, AdBusters magazine and Fight Club the movie ;)

- A lot of you and us are sheeps. You are not your government, not a Pepsi’s leader... G.W. Bush and J.Chirac aren’t gods. They can declare war, but will never fight near the frontline, so they don’t care about guilty or innocent dead people killed ‘cause of their decisions.

- It made me sick to see twin towers collapsed. It made me sick to see iraqi children died ‘cause of adults’ games. It made me sick to see pictures of my grand father coming back from a concentration camp. It makes me sick to see people suffering ‘cause the élite turns out political status to their own advantage .

This is what I am not ‘cause I’m french but because I’m who I am : an individual from the human beings.

Ridiculous

by Jane Tuesday, Apr. 22, 2003 at 3:35 PM

I think that people getting so angry at the people from another country because they excercised their freedom of choice is ridiculous.

America has reasons to be grateful of France as well. Didn't the founding fathers spend a lot of time in France before creating the Consitution? What about the stutue of Liberty?

Why should they support a war that they didn't think necessary? It still hasn't been proved that it was necessary to go to war.

I say Vive la France! Vive La Difference!
