Two interesting developments reported over the last 24 hours involving US Vice Prez Dick Cheney's old company, Halliburton Co. For those that don't know, Cheney was chairman and CEO of Halliburton from 1995 to 2000. I got the impression that these stories were sort of "non-events" and therefore relegated by the media to being peripheral material.
From CNN Money and Wall Street Journal: Halliburton and US/Nigerian officials launch probe to investigate theft of a radioactive device used at Halliburton's Nigerian operations. Officials concerned the device's radioactive material could be used to create a so-called dirty bomb.
From Forbes: Halliburton wins contract to oversee any firefighting operations at Iraqi oilfields after any US-led invasion.
I have my own ideas about what these events imply, but I'm curious about what everyone else thinks. Any conclusions?
Hmm. well as Gore Vidal says
you can't say conspiracy because that conjures up visions of UFOs
so the only word that works is"coincidence"
Halliburton had something stolen from it and they are investigating. AND, Halliburton won a contract to put out fires in Iraq after the war. And Cheney worked for them three years ago. HMMMMM? What do ya think? I think this is blatant FACISM.
So what if I am an upper middle class rebel? College was totally fun.
