Do you want to spend a fun Friday night supporting a worthy cause?

Well come on down to Mr T's Bowl in Highland Park this Friday the

28th to see some rocking good bands while you help fund the ongoing

project that is Flor y Canto Centro Communitario!

We are throwing a benefit show to help raise some much needed funds,

and it promises to be lots of fun! We've got the lovely bilingual

sounds of bands like Go Betty Go (http://www.gobettygo.com) an

all-woman group with some cool punk sounds, Over the Counter

Intelligence (http://www.overthecounterintelligence.com) an up and

coming political punk band, the frantic and energetic beats of

Mezklah, the hip-hop stylings of Dez Hope, and the groovy sounds of

DJ MenoMan!

We hope you can make it. Flor y Canto is a not-for-profit all

volunteer center that provides a social space to encourage postive

social change. We have meeting space, internet access, radical books,

and a fusbol table. We aim to provide a comfortable space where the

public can congregate without being forced to buy more commodities.
