Who will help us when our own police won't?

If you are a former or current police officer who is dissatisfied with the current policy of abusing free speaking Americans and minorities, join us!

I don't believe that all people who have been and are police officers have no heart. Every man, at one point in his life, must see the things he does and take inventory of the things he must change.

To those officers with a conscience, who wish to truly be heroes, I wish to offer an invitation.

If the police are going to brutalize every protest with riot gear, we want protection from them. We want honest American men and women to march with us and help guarantee that the founding fathers dreams of democracy come true.

All we ask is that you come to the next march with a sign or hat that says "police for freedom." With your identification as an officer, you could have much more leeway in controlling the S.W.A.T. team from getting out of hand on mothers, children, and students.

This is a real problem, we need real heroes, like the firemen who died saving lives in 9/11. We need people who believe in Civil Rights.

It's a long shot, but I know there are honest cops out there. Free speech and democracy are in danger, do not miss your chance to keep America's freedoms in tact. For this the only reason we can claim greatness over any other.

Be a hero, stand up to the system, stand up to your co-workers, if only to say, America guarantees freedom and justice for all, including those that disagree with the president or the police force's heavy handedness on middle class and poor people.

In Starhawk's book, "The Fifth Sacred Thing," we see the soldiers of evil converted to beings of light with love. We see armies, addicted to immuno boosters and mind controlling drugs, realizing that they are hurting innocents. As they begin to break ranks, they are taken in by peaceloving people, they are freed. They are given a taste of life that is markedly better, more humane, and more free, than that which the evil side offers. The war is won by showing people the error of their ways.

I would love to see a battallion of cops lead the next march singing "Amazing Grace," to their coworkers on the other side of the barricades.

What is possible, may just be inevitable. "One come a day the water will run and no man will stand for the things that he had done, HOORAH, and the water will run."
