Tuesday's

On Tuesday, Feb. 4th, around 400 people demonstrated at the corners of Olympic and Bundy in Santa Monica.

Tuesday's...

Starting at 5 pm, and running until 7 pm... hundreds of people stood at all four intersections at Olympic and Bundy in Santa Monica to say "NO BLOOD FOR OIL."

Tens of thousands of cars drove by, honking in approval with drivers and passengers flashing the peace sign. At the high point of the demo there were around 400 people involved. When the street signals would change from red to green... dozens of people would step off the curb and walk the street with protest banners, flags, and signs.

All ages were present... as were all races. Most were people I had never seen before. There were many young people involved as well, and it was obvious that it was the first demonstration for many.

While thousands honked in solidarity, you could count the "flip off" on one hand. One young man actually stopped his car at the corner... jumped out, started yelling at people, bared his fists and wanted to fight. At this point Officers of the LAPD stepped forward from out of the crowd and the coward jumped back into his car and speed off. Otherwise, there was no violence.

Two corporate news vans showed up (FOX, and Channel 7), but true to their ways... they did NOT cover the protest. When watching the local news the same evening the only thing on was a high speed car chase. War? What War?

A GREAT evening of protest! Keep up the pressure people!
