CFL ACTION ALERT: LET YOUR REPRESENTATIVES KNOW THAT YOU DON'T SUPPORT WAR AGAINST IRAQ AND THAT THE PALESTINIANS CAN NO LONGER BE IGNORED BY THIS ADMINISTRATION.

This weekend people in the US and all over the world gathered together to protest against the prospects of a war against Iraq. A predominant theme in these protests was that the US should stop ignoring the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestinian land. Take this opportunity (on a day after thousands marched in Washington) to tell president Bush and Congress that we don't want war and we don't support the Israeli occupation.

TALKING POINTS

*Demand that the President let the UN inspectors do their job before starting a war.

*While there is no evidence that Saddam Hussein has been involved in any attacks against the US or our interests in the region since the Gulf War, Israel is in violation of over 60 UN Resolutions and has escalated its violence in the past two years.

*Express your outrage over 1) the billions of dollars President Bush is prepared to spend over Iraq's alleged UN violations. And 2) spending billions more on welfare to Israel while Sharon arrogantly thumbs his nose at the United Nations and it's workers who are systematically being killed by Israeli Occupation Forces.

*Tell the President that the biggest obstacle to peace in the region is the continued theft of Palestinian land and the escalation of violence, torture, and collective punishment by the Occupation Forces against the Palestinian civilian population.
