Anti-War Activists Burn Recruiting Office
-----------------------------------------------------
Will ROTC buildings at colleges and universities
be next?
San Jose, Alta California, Oct. 14 (UPI) -- An
anonymous caller to a San Jose television station took
credit for a pre-dawn fire at a military recruiting
office Monday, cryptically referring to the blaze as a
"pre-emptive strike."
Fire crews arriving at the facility on McKee Road
shortly after 4 a.m. PDT found two government-owned
vehicles parked in the rear engulfed in flames. They
also discovered broken glass doors and the words
"Preemptive Strike" written on the front walls in red
paint, an apparent reference to the possibility the
United States could launch a military attack on Iraq
aimed at squelching the development of weapons of mass
destruction by Baghdad.
"The graffiti is certainly an indication of the motive,"
Marty McKee, a spokeswoman for the Bureau of Alcohol,
Tobacco and Firearms told reporters at the scene.
At about the same time the fire was reported, the news
desk at San Jose television station KNTV received a
call from an unidentified male who stated, "At 4
o'clock this morning, we have taken a pre-emptive
strike against a military recruiting office here on
McKee."
The station reported that the caller did not claim
affiliation with any political group and did not have
a detectable accent.

of the Left. . . resorting to violence to accomplish its political goals. Considering the Left's history, this is not surprising.
...resorting to violence to achieve political ends...I thought you'd appreciate that...
...I thought that would make you wanna stroke your tiny little woody?
Pinche Puto!
from KPC.
That's okay. I know better to expect more.
Ok I am a bit confused, how is the violence that the Bush administration is contemplating to further their political and financail motives in the middle east any better then this so called leftist attack on a military recruiting office in which 0 people lost their lives?
BINGO Randy...you hit the nail on the head...but don't expect any reponse...
If you ask me, what the anti-war activists did was not violence. It was self-defense. You want to see violence, go live in Iraq and be subjected to your own countries (u.s) foreign policy. Now that's violence.
Since you asked. . .
The United States is preparing to end one of the most brutally repressive regimes in the world. A regime which has on two occassions invaded its neighbors, and launched an unprovoked missile attack on Isreal.
This regime has violated the terms of the cease fire by continuing to develop weapons of mass destruction and, obviously, refusing to allow the inspectors it agreed to.
Bush is acting with the support of the US Congress and the American people to enforce UN resolutions.
The US will, as it did in the first Gulf War, obey the rules of warfare.
The thugs who torched this building are just a bunch of frustrated losers who CAN'T get the support of the American people (unlike Bush), and are therefore seeking to use violence and intimidation to win the fights they lost in the arena of ideas.
Cute the way you post under one name and then compliment youself in another post...nice
This person calling himeself T-mex is an imposter. No real Mexican would talk his garbage.
Hey T-Mex and Bush Admirer, why don't we all three make a little circle jerk room of our own so we can stand around stroking our conservative woodies and complimenting each other and pretending we're all different people when we're really just the same loser troll with nothing of value to say? Hey maybe if all three of us say it, it will magically take on some kind of substance.
I watched from about a mile or so away as the nearly completed Santana Row in San Jose near Winchester House burn to the ground . It was beautiful to see all those crap yuppie dreams come crashing down. In the poor neighborhood where I was, people rushed around hosing down each other's roofs and apartments because the fire department took a half hour to arrive, they were all so busy protecting upscale (and empty) condos and stores and consumer crap that wasn't even finished being built yet. Meanwhile, embers were landing across the freeway on the tops of apartment buildings and houses, but nobody gave a shit cuz inside those apartments were poor people. A whole apartment complex burned down, a few others caught fire, and a few houses burned.
You want to talk about violence, talk about the violence perpetrated everyday on the humanity and soul of someone who has to live with the realization that their life is worth less than some rich fucker's property. THAT is violence. You want to talk about violence, try growing up poor in San Jose, knowing all that "freedom" and "opportunity" everybody is supposed to have somehow didn't quite make it east of the 101, or into any number of little poverty pockets scattered all over the supposedly glimmering silicon promised land, and then being targeted and recruited to fight a war and kill innocents and risk your own life, just so rich fuckers like Bush and Cheney can make even more money off oil and other capitalist enterprises. THAT is violence.
No, be glad it's just your precious property that burned down you rich fucks. That's not violence, that's mercy on you. Because when the oppressed finally do resort to violence after you leave them no other options, you will know it, because they won't be going after your property--they'll be going after you.
...the first step toward curing your sickness is admitting you have one...
...seems like you have a way to go yet She-Mex-BushBlower.
I can't find this story anywhere else but on indymedias
