Rumor has it that different oil companies source their oil from different places. For example, Chevron gets much of its oil from Nigeria, but doesn't seem to get much any more from Saudi Arabia.
Is there public information that maps companies to sources?
And while we're at it, are there publically available lists of which companies make up the oil conglomerates, both within the oil industry and outside of it?
address all oil inquiries to:

info about oil imports by company is on file at the Department of Energy website. go to http://www.energy.gov and navigate through "Sources and Production". the companies' own websites probably list their consumer brands, e.g. ConocoPhillips sells the brands Conoco, Phillips 66, Circle K, and Union 76.
