Arriving today in Los Angeles, Ethiopia's Russom Damba is anouncing his plans to for the film, "SINS OF A LIVING WOMAN". It is described as an African Romeo and Juliet type love story detailing the sentence of death by stoning against a Nigerian housewife who committs adultery with the man she has always really loved, but in secret, because he's a christian. The film will feature a stunning performance by award winning actress Alfre Woodard...who Damba is offering the role of "Storm Johnson", an American feminist who travels to Nigeria to stop the stoning.

Controversial novelist and activist Kola Boof (who is Sudanese) will play the Nigerian housewife to be stoned and will have to do it with several graphic nude scenes that showcase just how inhumane and "sexual" this type of execution is, says Russom Damba. Also in the film, says Damba, will be Lonette Mckee (as Boof's Nigerian mother), Akosua Busia (as another feminist), Tony Todd (as Boof's terrible husband), and hopefully, says Damba, "Amistad's" Djimon Hansou as the man that Boof's character really loves and desires. Damba says that the film will be a love story from a feminist viewpoint, because the film is Kola Boof's idea from scratch. Acclaimed filmmaker Raoul Peck is expected to begin principal photography on the film next May in the Carribean. It is hoped that by then, Muslim fundamentalists who recently made at attempt on the life of Kola Boof, will be more controllable and less angry at the outspoken writer.
