Announcer Script for Program: Reclaim the Media PSA

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In recent years, campaign spending has spiraled out of control,

making the nation's capitol a virtual millionaire's club. But it's not

the politicians who are so threatened by spending limits - it's the

big media companies who will lose millions if such limits are

passed into law. The National Association of Broadcasters is one

group dedicated to fighting campaign finance reform legislation.

This lobby group for the large media companies has invested

millions to prevent campaign finance reform. If you are like other

American's who agree that campaign spending and fundraising is

out of control and harmful to democracy, join us in Seattle

September 10th through the 15th for Reclaim The Media: A

community media convergence shadowing the NAB convention.

Celebrating progressive media movements and community based

media with five days of workshops, music, street theater and

notable guest speakers. See you in Seattle Sept. 10-15th, for more
