Good Site, But...

by Anti-Fascist Thursday, Mar. 07, 2002 at 5:33 PM

Over-all, this is a great site, but there are some flaws. First, it's clearly U.S. based considering the pro-U.S. bias that exists. Apparently, the webmasters have been so busy scrutinizing the rest of the world(especially, it seems, Burma), that they have not been paying attention to what's been going on right under their noses, especially since 9/11. No mention of Bush's INSTALLATION as pResident through a de-facto coup staged by the U.S. "Supreme" Court with the help of his father's lackys in that institution, and his brother in Florida. Nothing about the imposition of the "Office of Homeland Security", ram-rod passage of the "U.S.-P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act", designed to deprive people of their civil rights, not to "fight terrorism", or the other patently repressive and downright FASCIST policies before and since 9/11.

They call China "the leading political and military threat the world faces, our enemy if ever there was one."

Who does "our" refer to? ALL people around the world, or just U.S. citizens? With the growing corruption and fascism within the U.S., the fact that the U.S. still possesses the world's largest stockpile of weapons of mass destruction, and obviously intends to keep them,if not increase the stockpile through the Bush regime's abrogation of the ABM treaty and increased military spending to continue espanding his worldwide "war on terrorism", it is becoming EMPHATICALLY CLEAR that it is the U.S. that represents the " LEADING POLITICAL AND MILITARY THREAT THE WORLD FACES..." It also qualifies, under most of the defining terms of "dictatorship" outlined on the site(repressive laws, police state, etc.) as a de-facto dictatorship, and is becoming more so with each passing day.

To the webmasters at www.dictatorwatch.org, you have a good thing going there, but you seem to be suffering from some pro-U.S. brainwashing yourselves which you need to shed so you can keep a better eye on the tyrants in your own back yard-we need to watch them too-now more than ever!
