Keep your eye on this-- this might be what brings down the US economy soon. The connection with Enron is timely-- because the economy is faltering, and the US banks have borrowed more gold than can be produced in 10 years! Why? Because they could use the gold to pump money into the stock market during the 90s, to make it artificially high. All the talk about "irrational exhuberance" and a bubble don't tell the real economic source of the bubble-- gold derivatives. Well, soon all this will come due-- and just like the Enron and Global Crossings executives, a bunch of capitalist crooks are getting ready to jump ship and leave ordinary people with worthless US dollars-- bank accounts, pension plans, everything might be worth less than crap if this comes to be. Well, enough hyperbole-- read something about it... go to www.gata.org, or www.lemetropolecafe.org. I know you may think it's a bit too much "bourgeois economics" but I'm afraid it makes a lot of sense... Also try some web searches on gold anti-trust and enron...

They're going to paint every picture black for the hope of rising gold prices!!

not to say that the economy is not heading for a crash..

I heard it's running on a 6 to 1 debt/profit ratio at the moment, highest ever..

Just keep your scepticism about what you read, just like how you read any other news.
