Gore Won the 2000 Presidential Election! from Democracy Now! 11/13/01

by from suite 909 Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001 at 12:45 AM

To listen to this remarkable and lengthy (27m) Democracy Now! segment go to: www.webactive.com/pacifica/exile.html or simply go to www.democracynow.org

WHY WON'T NEWS ORGANIZATIONS JUST SAY IT?

FIRST THEY DELAY THE NEWS, THEN THEY BURY IT: GORE WON

George W. Bush would have lost Florida and therefore the Presidency if there had been a complete statewide recount. This is the apparent result of a review of uncounted ballots in the 2000 Presidential election. The new data, compiled by AP and seven other news organizations, suggests Bush would have won Florida only under a more selective recount of the 4 counties that were the subject of Al Gore's legal strategy.

But this is not how the major media reported it. Virtually every newspaper in the country said the opposite – that the recount study showed Bush carried Florida.

The results of a study indicating that the wrong person is in the White House would be incredible under any circumstances, but even more so considering the fact that the US is waging a war against Afghanistan.

Guests: Jeffrey Toobin, writes for the New Yorker, and author of "Too Close To Call: The Thirty-Six Day Battle to Decide the 2000 Election."

Joel Engelhardt, reporter with the Palm Beach Post, one of the papers in the consortium that examined the uncounted ballots.

Kirk Walter, Senior VP at the National Opinion Research Center, which collected and analyzed the uncounted Florida ballots.

Bush is a crook

Bush is a crook, infact he comes from a long line of crooks, personally Little Bush profited from contributions from Bin Ladens family to start his failed texas oil company. His dad ,Bigger Bush, ran the CIA which used afganistan as a source for the heroine currently on sale here in the US. Quale...remember him, well his family is deep in bed with Eli Lilly the company which produces some of the main chemicals needed in the processing of cocaine, no wonder he was qualified to be VP under the reign of Bigger Bush. And then there is G. W. Bush's grand daddy lets call him Old Bush, Old Bush owned a steel company which produced most of the steel used by the Nazis during WWII, he was later found guilty and convicted for the war crime of trading with the enemy. So all Bushes are crooks hell we all watched as Little Bush and Jeb Bush with the help of Bushy Supreme Court Injustices robbed the American people of an election. Somone needs to be tried for treason around here, but justice is blind and they are all hiding behind a bush.

BOTH ARE A PILE OF SHIT

by antigovernment Friday, Nov. 16, 2001 at 3:50 AM

bush or gore. same pile of the same shit.

it's not a democracy, not even a representive democracy, because it's a political system dominated by wealth. this contridicts democracy in theory. america is not a democracy. america is a plutocracy. gore was just as bad as bush. he just kept more of his tricks up his sleeves.

cia had this planned out for along time. they've been apointing people into office forever. as if they even need to. the rich run, the rich get "elected".

there is no democracy in capitalism.

fuck the U.S government. and fuck reform.

no war but the class war.

no democracy but direct democracy.
