We can save the environment immediately with a progressive socially and environmentally consumption tax system. Get rid of personal and corpoate taxes. Tax luxury items, stiff taxes on luxury cars, yachts, second homes, furs, private planes, foreign travel - stiff tax. Tax in accordance with the degree of degradation entailed in manufacture and disposal. This would improve American trade balance and long-term growth, accompanied by lowering tax pressure on productive investments. This makes sense. Starve a Feeding Bureaucrat! Put them to work! Invent an invention like the dishwasher or windshield wiper (both by women, by the way, and not a rich, sloth-like individual).
