BBC : 60 nations on US target list

by BH Monday, Sep. 17, 2001 at 3:45 PM

just up on BBC site

http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/world/americas/newsid_1547000/1547561.stm">BBC: 60 nations on America's target list - "Senior US officials have issued warnings that

up to 60 countries supporting perceived

terrorists face the "full wrath" of American

military might ... Defense Secretary

Donald Rumsfeld told

American TV that the

country "had no choice" ... the use of ground troops may

be under consideration ... top officials

stressed on Sunday

that the problem was

much wider than just

one man ... if

you provide sanctuary to terrorists, you face

the full wrath of the United States of America."

Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said the

network behind the attacks on the World

Trade Center and the Pentagon probably

spanned 60 countries. "It is much bigger than

one person, the problem is much broader," he

said."

Perhaps should they add a 61st one

Yeah what about adding the US itself on this list, probably the biggest terrorist state humanity has ever known lol!

Just because they say that terrorists are operating in 60 nations doesn't mean the US is planning to attack 60 nations & suggesting that it does simply undermines our credibility.

The US certainly is partly responsible for bin Laden, as well as for the broader phenomena of Islamic fundamentalist terror, and that is a point that bears considerable repeating and elaboration. But sensationalizing or distorting what they're saying now is a cheap shot approach we ought to stay away from.
