CSWA began in 1979. Unfortunately they have been the target of 2 arson attacks but have kept going strong even becoming better rounded and working on a variety of economic and human rights issues.

This organization has worked to prevent, stop and sue garment and restaurant sweatshops.

Also to organize for housing, daycare, right of Chinese-Americans for employment without discrimination by NYC government, videography courses and of course English courses in community centers.
