Disclosure Project in Los Angeles

The Disclosure Project came to Los Angeles this past Saturday Aug. 4th. Progressive should become informed about this movement.

This is the first time I have published and I am a little nervous. I attended an event Aug. 4th in Downtown LA that I think is important for others in the progressive community to be aware of, namely, the Disclosure Project. (See website at Disclosureproject.org. Or look under "Disclosure Project" in your web browser.)

This organization and event concerns government and industry testimony related to government knowledge of UFOs and advanced energy technologies and a call for Congressional hearings to release information on this subject. It also calls for the transformation of the placement of weapons in space to a global project for space exploration. This would re-direct existing, aggressively-oriented, research structures with an exploration paradigm and support the building of a more peaceful world through a sense of earth-citizenship. In my estimation, it is in the area of an end to government secrecy and a de-escalation of the arms race that this movement and progressives have much in common. It is my stance to promote that bridge.

The event itself was composed of Dr. Greer, the spearhead for this movement, Dr. Carole Rosen, and several government witnesses (including a former NASA astronaut- Gordon Coper I believe) to the reality of UFOs and government knowledge of the subject.A 2- hour video was shown consisting of dramatic testimony by courageous witnesses. A good portion of the 800-some people-- many of whom were elderly-- lasted the whole 5 hours of the presentation in sweltering heat. Most of the people had heard of the event through the Art Bell radio show, a late night talk show.

This movement has received no recognition in the progressive press out side of the anti-nuke "noflybynews." See: http://www.flybynews.com/ despite repeated efforts by myself and others to bring this to their attention.

The UFO movement has faced a daunting uphill battle of ridicule and dismissal for decades. Only recently have clear-sighted, brave and intelligent individuals addressed this issue head on (see the book: "UFOs and the National Security State" -sorry I forget the author- It's available through Amazon.com-- as well as the press conference held on in Washington DC May 9th which is downloadable from the disclosure project website at the bottom of the home page.) through credible research and testimony.

I don't have time to further elaborate on this issue or the event, but if there are others who are interested, post a response and I will try to get back to you. At this time I do not wish to leave an e-mail. (I have seen others attacked for discussion of this subject and I'm not willing to handle that at this time.) If I find support, I can tell you a lot more.

Best - a friend of peace
