The protest at BIO 2001 in San Diego was a huge sucsess. People from many diffrent parts of San Diego showed up to show their support from start to finish as well as people who came from other parts of Cali. The march began in Balboa Park, went through streets of downtown San Diego, making sure to get the attention of people on the street, and ended up at the fron door of the Convention Center, waving numerous banners and signs. Along the way to the convention center we were chanting things like "Hell no, GMO's" and "What do we want..., safe food...., when do we want it .....,NOW" with police from all over the county breathing down our necks, following our every step. We had planned ahead of time days before the event to educate members of the march their legal rights just in case something might happen. When we reached the Convention Center refreshments and were provided for participants as meida interviewed. Dacers danced and protesters protested to show their suport, too. As my part of the group left, we watched as others kept on, and thanked everone for the good time we had. As I said, it was a huge sucsess and hopefully we got our point across. As for the PIGS they looked wacker than they did ever before in all that riot gear and fuck the undercovers that tried to blend in!!
