ALL PROTESTERS-LA COULD CARELESS ABOUT YOUR VEIWS

by LA TAX PAYER Saturday, Aug. 05, 2000 at 10:13 PM

WARNING TO PROTESTERS WHO ARE PLANNING TERROR IN OUR STREETS.....STAY HOME!

I think I can say I speak for my frineds and people who live here around me....we don't want your protests, looting, or "actions" (a reason to burn our city). We could care less.

This city may have problems and we will deal with them in our own way...we don't need you. Make no mistake about it we support the LAPD and any means needed to reppel you and your lawless actions.

We have seen looting, burning, and riots (not some pissy protest-real riots!) in 1992. We had a major earth quake, and two armed thugs who took on the whole LAPD at the Bank of America. We watch in anger as the thugs at the Laker Game destroyed property.

We have sent the Chief of Police and Mayor a mandate-NOT AGAIN! NO MORE-If you fail to lead, or stop the violance...we will find someone who will! Yes, the eyes of LA will be on the DNC and they will be watching the Chief and Mayor to see if they protect the people of this city and use whatever means needed to stop you.

You will not make this another Seattle, Washington DC, or Philly. We will not see more looting like took place at the Laker Game. We support the Chief and all the men and women of the LAPD. They need us and we need them to stop you.

So to use and old phrase, "come to LA and act up...and we hope you will be treated like a 'King'..." Hurt any one of our police officers and you will invoke a public outcry like you have never seen in any other City...we will be pissed!

Fuck you!

Take your tax paying, lilly white ass back to your rock in orange county. This is a movement asshole of and by the people. Your threats don't mean a hill of shit fuck face. You're a coward who lives in and loves a system that destroys your neighbors. But do you care? You're more worried about your tax returns and stock options.

Move over asshole, the revolution is about to wake you up!

Protestors Rights/ Residents Respect

by RevereDos Wednesday, May. 10, 2000 at 7:06 PM

Hey, buddy, what about freedom of speech?? A freedom which is rarely, if ever, used on the hijacked public airwaves. Protesting in the streets is about all that's left.

I agree with your positions re: burning, destroying property, and injuring others, but I hope you support people who get off their butts and protest the abuses many citizens have received from the LAPD; just one issue for people to speak against.

I hope protestors take demonstrations to the next level, and instead of breaking windows, use them as a medium to make their message, whether by "wheat pasting" handbills, or artistic redecoration.

At the Philly coronation, 1 in 5 delegates were millionaires. I don't think those on the inside of the concentration camp fencing are too worried about us on the outside.

You Get more Flies with Honey than Vinegar

by RevereDos Wednesday, May. 10, 2000 at 7:06 PM

Dude, chill your ass out! Vituperative rants don't help out the cause, and don't help people understand your concerns. Content, my friend, not antagonism will win the day!!

Keep up the good fight, .... and convert some more bystanders!!!

"You" ??

by Another LA Taxpayer Wednesday, May. 10, 2000 at 7:06 PM

Which "you" are you refering to? I grew up in Southern California. I live in LA. And your TV news mythology of "violence in our streets" is one reason I'll be protesting. Your blind offering of "any means neccessary" to a brutal and racist police force is one reason I'll be protesting. And the xenophobic blithering of jackbooted fools like yourself is one big reason I'm compelled to protest in my city. Precisely because it is *my* city -- and my friends and neigbors agree with me.

We hear your fear. That's good. It means change is coming.

Kindly learn the English language, copface

by Bertie Wooster Wednesday, May. 10, 2000 at 7:06 PM

I realize that city cops aren't the best-educated people in the world, but don't you think that you could at least try to learn the rudiments of spelling, grammar and constructing a logical argument?

Badly organized speech is an indication of badly organized thinking.

I suppose that I should take it as heartening to see how easily a little far-right creep is frightened into being unable to do anything but spew idiotic threats, but my patience with your kind of self-satisfied ignorance is completely at an end.

I urge you resolutely to bite my antiimperialist crank.

Most of us are from LA

by Lakota Wednesday, May. 10, 2000 at 7:06 PM

The vast majority of protestors and anarchists attending will be locals. We are demonstrating on OUR streets against injustices. These are more our streets then they are yours, we WORK and do things besides exploit the people we employ and consider stock options. STOP THE PLUTOCRACY!

NWRTC (Not Worth Replying To Cops)

Ignore cop posts, don't waste your time with replying, save your breath and just type NWRTC, and everyone will no not to read it.

So?

Anyone who disagrees with you is a cop, huh?

Don't marginalize yourself, loser.

Change will come! When the Valley departs ..

by Studio City.. Wednesday, May. 10, 2000 at 7:06 PM

You anger will certainly have a positve affect on LA- it will speed up the Valley's departure from the City of LA and ensure that Hollywood and San Pedro follow.

What will be left in LA? A larger gap between the "haves" and "have nots" you claim to be fighting for. A demand for a stronger police department and a City Gov that will not tollerate your actions...so go ahaead disrupt the City you will bring about an end to your own "so-called" movement.

May I remind you that the Valley alone voted down last year the 744 million police bond measure. In the valley we don't take to the streets....we vote!

vote?

forget about your myopic commitment to the fraud of american electoral processes. when the revolution is done and democracy is REAL, you will find yourself in your isolated little community wondering why your useless green paper doesn't give you shit anymore. these threats about the abandonment of the poor parts of the city so that the well-off can have their own city govs --- complete, i'm sure, with their own schools and hospitals --- which you pretend to conditionalize on the appearance of protestors is much more offensive and disgusting than the petitions all over this site to continue the incarceration and, (where you aware?) TORTURE of champions of free expression. this is a social movement --- which means you have nothing to fear when we show up next week because WE ARE COMMITED TO NOT HURTING YOU AND TO NOT BREAKING YOUR STUFF. its later. when you've built walls between yourself and the actual communities of this nation and wake up to find that artificial claims to authority over the means of production and its output are no longer recognized by the new society --- that's when you should be scared. but only if you persist in your present exclusionary attitiudes. i apologize if i've been rude but i really am getting fed up by the propoganda and blatant misinformation about our activities and our membership. we do openly challenge the entrenchment of authority in all its forms and seek to promote a movement for true democracy around the world which specifically serve to undermine the power of corporate statism in favor of a more just society based on mutual respect and cooperation which does not concentrate the benefits of societal organization (not, i say NOT organizations) into the hands of a self-selected few. is democracy the part that everyone is scared of or are the rumors that are being spread about our behavior really so bad that they inspire this type of commentary weeks before activists even show up in la. we mean you no harm. we only want to have a discussion. do me a favor and see how much time the dnc devotes to the promotion of dialogue and how much it devotes to tired rhetoric and media glitz. if you still think that we are the bad guys after that --- then there really is no hope for you.
