Viva la Revolucion! The Movement Marches On & Grows!
I was explaining to someone how the electricity shortage in California is the classic consequence of neo-liberalism. The power grid in this state used to move electrons from generators to loads. It worked great. Now it's clunky, overcomplex, overadministered, and mostly in violation of several laws of physics. Even the corporate stooges couldn't change the behavior of primary particles, though in this case they sure tried.
To make a very long and boring story short, the politicians decided that the market should set electric prices. It did. They tripled in some cities. The cities went ballistic. The legislature has to fix it, but they can't because the infrastructure was sold off and lost.
Maybe they can burn bunny berries.
