by Delve Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000 at 12:34 AM

Monitor the LAPD by scanner

You can monitor the LAPD by going to www.apbnews.com and clicking on the L.A. police scanner.

Just dont go to abpnews.com

That is the associated baptist press... :)

phony bomb threat?

by Mildred Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000 at 1:13 AM

The fuckers! If they're not concocting stories that *we're* making bombs so they can shut us down, they're making up stories that someone is trying to bomb *us*. Very suspicious that the county police "searched" the vehicle in question before the bomb squad arrived, and that the bomb squad didn't seem to even want to come, since they thought the threat wasn't "credible." How convenient that they get to shut down the satellite broadcast (so we can't watch the cops firing concussion grenades at protestors) and the Shadow Convention to protect us.

COINTELPRO-style tactics if I ever heard of them. I'm not one to call everything COINTELPRO, but I smell a rat.

Greetings and solidarity from the east coast. Keep on pushing.

A Use For Large Corporations!

by Gugliemo Marconi Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000 at 1:18 AM

Go to Radio Shack. Buy the $100 scanner and the $20 frequency book.

Even I, the inventor of radio, can say more. Except that I once had an old dog named Rover.

And what's that 4-wire antenna on top of Pat Hall? It's been there all my life. Looks like it would make a hell of a pirate radio with the right matching system.

They Don't Call Him Big Brother For Nothing!

by Fletcher Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000 at 1:21 AM

We will never when a civil war. Fire can not be fought with fire. The police have fucked everything up.

The anarchists are signing and sealing the end of what would have been a great "Shadow Convention". Yes, it all stinks. This is a police state. Keep it cool my brothers and lie down your weapons...please...we need to get our message across.

They Don't Call Him Big Brother For Nothing

by Fletchert Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000 at 1:31 AM

Oh my brothers, you can not fight fire with fire. The police have fucked up, and the anarchists have followed suit. Do us all a favor and lay you weapons down. Don't completely ruin this! We've got a great thing going. The "Shadow Convention" is a blessing. We need to get our message across.

Please think. God bless us all!

(Sigh.) I'll keep banging my head against the wall. "The anarchists.... The anarchists." There is no one monolithic group of anarchists. Not all "look like" anarchists, smash stuff, etc. Anarchism is a big world. For more information, visit www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/1931/secA1.html for an overview of "What is Anarchism."

You Should Name An Alternative Then

by Delve Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000 at 5:38 PM

If you are going to comment on a reason you should not go to a particular web site for the LAPD scanner..by all means have an alternative web site to go to. If you aren't part of the solution you are part of the problem.
