why are the FBI in the subway?

by Nico Melendez Saturday, Dec. 08, 2007 at 10:56 PM
310 560 5987

call Nico Melendez at 310 560 5987 and demand to know why there were Secret Service, FBI, regular cops with bomb-sniffing dogs, and TSA agents all over the Universal Citywalk redline train station wednesday afternoon.

i was informed by a TSA agent who refused to give her name that they were beginning a program of random checks at metro train stations throughout l.a. beginning Dec. 5 2007. she would not say where they would be next, how long they intended to remain, or how long we had before they began rounding us up and putting us in camps.

seriously, this is important folks. they are beginning to crackdown on our rights and it's time we did something other than call our reps and sign online petitions.

nico melendez is the designated spokesperson

anti-terrorism task force now patroling the metro. the

frequnt and random on the metro system.that's all the

information i got so far.

Head Hunters!

by Tony Rico Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007 at 7:39 AM

The FBI are just working as shills for Wall St. to "scout" prospects for Corporae America's lucrative and expanding prison industry!

What you saw may have been a VIPR team. Following the Madrid train bombings, TSA stepped up its efforts to enhance security on rail and mass transit systems nationwide by creating and deploying Visual Intermodal Protection and Response (VIPR) teams. Comprised of federal air marshals, surface transportation security inspectors, transportation security officers, behavior detection officers and explosives detection canine teams, VIPR teams over the past two years have augmented security at key transportation facilities in urban areas around the country, including New York City, Buffalo and Syracuse, N.Y., Los Angeles, Boston and Providence, R.I.

VIPR teams work with local security and law enforcement officials to supplement existing security resources, provide deterrent presence and detection capabilities, and introduce an element of unpredictability to disrupt potential terrorist planning activities.

Christofascism

by Fredric L. Rice Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007 at 11:02 PM
frice@skeptivctank.org

It's just this Christian fascist regime trying to play pretend that there are threats out there and that the only way to be protected by these fake threats is to commit massive fasacist treason against the citizens.

The Christofascist State wants its subjects to be in constant fear. That's how these terrorist butchers have stayed in power and haven't been dragged out of their offices in Washington and given fair trials in the street.

inflamatory

by Meyer London Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007 at 11:15 PM

It is wise not to place messages on this board that come close to arguing that Bush, Cheney and Rice should be dragged out of their offices by a lynch mob and given a "trial in the street." The Bush Administration will stop at nothing in its efforts to crush dissent, and they could use posts like this one as an excuse to close down Independent Media as a "terrorist threat" during this time when "we are at war"" and Bush claims that he has war powers that supercede the Constitution.

well...

did any of you even bother to call Nico or are you just as most libs - too afraid to leave your blogsite. this post has been dismissed as normal operating procedure by one person, and repeatedly referred to as a christofacist piece of propaganda by another. Oh, and one of you is too afraid to breathe right now let alone post something important on indymedia.

suppose i'll see y'all in the camps in a couple of years.

camps

by Meyer London Friday, Dec. 14, 2007 at 9:31 PM

Who knows, we may meet in a camp, perhaps in less than two years. In any event, my post had nothing to do with fear of winding up in a camp; we'd still be better off than the army of homeless who live in the street. But if one more big terrorist attack occurs, even if it takes place on Cheney's orders, the "Homeland Security Department" could and almost certainly would close down IMC, using posts like Mr. Rice's as an escuse.

It's ok Meyer

Fred Rice is an absolute moron, hope you are not just now finding that out. People just ignore the dumb fuck, suggest you do too.
