LGBTQ Protest Against Pence/Trump
To bring: Any signs, posters, banners, and flag that are appropriate. Please no hateful things (i.e. down with cis). If you don't know what to have on a poster, a quick Google search will help! But also, this is not mandatory.
Please join us in the fight against Trump and Pence and their horrible plans to hurt the LGBTQ community. We welcome everybody, all sexualities and all genders, or if you're just an ally we welcome you! Due to the recent attack on minorities, we will be speaking out against that as well. We are protesting to show we will stand strong together. That we are not going to let these racist, homophobic, bigoted people hurt us.
This started as a GSA protest within middle schools, high schools, and colleges, but has expanded into something more.
ALSO VERY IMPORTANT. THIS IS NOT VIOLENT. THIS IS A PEACEFUL PROTEST. WE DO NOT WANT TO BE SEEN AS VIOLENT/HOSTILE.
So we made some changes to the protest:
1.) At 1:30pm we will all me at Hollywood and Vine, either right at the metro station or on the corner.
2.) At 2:00pm we will start to march to Hollywood and Highland and stop at Donald Trumps star (it has been replaced).
3.) We will either march around the block, but if we have a permit for protesting, we will stay at the star.
4.) We ask that you bring signs, banners, posters, flags, anything you can think of. The protest is focusing on the hate crimes, President Elect Donald Trump and VP Elect Pence, and showing that the LGBTQ community will not let these things go unnoticed.

Thank you!!!
This is for Pulse. This is for Harvey Milk. This is for Stonewall. This is for all those we have lost. This is for the kids who can't come out and love who they want. This is for people targeted for just trying to be who they are. This is for people who can't even pee where they want. This is for everybody in the LGBTQ community, whether they're still here or not. This is so important. Help us speak out.
