Russia?s direct military intervention into Syria has dramatically changed the dynamics of a war that has raged since 2011. The fighting during the last four years has torn this historic Arab country to shreds, made millions of Syrians into refugees, and left more than 200,000 people dead. The stage has been set for a possible major military counteroffensive against arch-reactionary Islamic military organizations who have been gaining more and more territory. The U.S. is hypocritically claiming to support the struggle against extremist forces such as ISIS while still funding Islamist-CIA trained forces in Syria, against the Syrian government.

Also: The Struggle of the Palestinian People against Israeli Violence. The brutal Israeli government continues to suppress Palestinian rights, banning Palestinians from the Al Aqsa Mosque, with racist Israeli settlers killing innocent Palestinians seeking justice.

Also: The current attack on California teachers continues as the courts attempt to smash tenure and seniority rights of California teachers. Update on the struggle.
