On August 12, 2014 Dante Parker, a father of 5, was racially profiled for riding his bike in a mostly-white neighborhood. Police tazered him multiple times, then hog tied him and threw him into a police vehicle where he suffocated to death. Dante Parker was unarmed and yet the San Bernardino County Sheriff?s deputies responsible for his death walk free.
This crime demands justice. Police brutality must end. The officers must be arrested and jailed.
His killing exposes of police department racism, brutality and harassment following the killing of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri are not news to the people in the communities that are virtually occupied by the police. But Michael Brown?s death did trigger a movement that is making it impossible for such acts to be ignored by much of the main stream media as they have been in the past. Let?s build that movement here too.
On September 20, 2014, join with the family of Dante Parker to demand Justice.
Endorsed by the Family of Donte Parker, NAACP, ANSWER Coalition and others.
