Join actor and activist Danny Glover at a RECEPTION, DINNER & FILM SCREENING of ?Broken on All Sides? on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Art Share L.A, 801 E. 4th Place, LA 90013. Dinner and Reception at 6:00 PM, Film at 7:00 PM. ?Broken on All Sides? is a highly-recommended documentary on mass incarceration across the US and the intersection of race and poverty within criminal justice.

The event is a fundraiser to support a grassroots delegation to go the Left Forum in NYC at the end of May. Please help this delegation, which includes representatives from: California Families Against Solitary Confinement (CFASC), Californians United for a Responsible Budget, Every Mother is a Working Mother Network, the Global Women?s Strike and Women of Color/GWS, Military Families Speak Out/Zero Troops Campaign, No More Jails LA and more from other cities, get to New York to help build the movement against poverty, prisons and war. They will be speaking in several workshops, and Dolores Canales of CFASC will be a plenary speaker.

The event is wheelchair accessible, there will be childcare and free parking in the county lot across from Art Share?s entrance. donation, more if you can, no one turned away for lack of funds.
