These prisoners have put their health and lives on the line to assert their humanity and call for an end to long term solitary confinement and other abuses. They have issued a call to cease racial hostilities inside the prisons and outside as well in order to forge broad unity in this fight for justice. Urgently, we must respond to their hero-ic stand, find our own humanity, and firmly stand with them in this fight for justice. We must do everything in our power to mobilize hundreds and thousands of others to do the same in an all-out effort to reach and influence millions of people in this society - challenging the unjust labeling of these prisoners as the so-called \"worst of the worst\" and instead promote their courage and radical transformation. We must respond to their call and mo-bilize powerful actions in support of their righteous fight to stop torture ? and August 5 must be a day when that support is made manifest.
