On Sunday, August 18th, embrace the overflowing creativity of Santa Monica on the cultural bicycle tour with the Santa Monica Museum of Art, led by C.I.C.L.E.! The bicycle-themed festival will begin at Santa Monica Museum of Art for registration, free bike-tune ups, bicycle art exhibits and more. The ride will make two stops, including the Santa Monica Bay Woman?s Club to enjoy modern beats and line dancing with Griffin Rodriguez and the Icy Demons. The next stop includes an exciting and unique dance performance at Grant Elementary School. Refuel with refreshing freebies along the way!

As with all C.I.C.L.E. rides, this ride is family-friendly, leisurely paced and will return to the starting point at the end of the tour. C.I.C.L.E. rides are fully supported, led by trained Ride Leaders and volunteers. C.I.C.L.E.?s Ride Leaders provide a safe and enjoyable riding environment for beginning and experienced riders alike. This ride is 9 miles and will allow participants a break at each stop to enjoy the art, performances and refreshments. Prior to the ride we will address safe street riding and group ride etiquette to ensure smooth sailing.

When: Sunday, August 18th, 2013

Time: The event starts at 11:00am. Ride leaves promptly at 1:00pm.

What to bring: Bring your bicycle in good working order. This ride is FREE and open to anyone, but all participants should be able to ride a bike safely with the ability to brake, change gears, and balance while stopping and starting. All participants under 18 MUST wear a helmet and be escorted by a parent or guardian. Children under age 8 should be on a tag-a-long, bike trailer, tandem, or other safe child-carrying device to participate in the ride.
