Coffee and Classical Music in Long Beach!
Two fantastic, young, classical soloists perform June 30th at a favorite Long Beach hot spot: The Library: A Coffeehouse. Tara Rose Davison, soprano, began her career as an opera singer. She has performed roles such as Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte, Cleopatra in Giulio Cesare and Sister Rose in Dead Man Walking. Tara will sing art songs from around the world and accompany herself on classical guitar.
Cameron O'Connor, a critically acclaimed young guitarist who has "...gained unheard of prestige for a guitarist his age” (Ventura County Voice) will perform music for solo guitar. A recent Juilliard graduate, Cameron has performed at the Aspen Music Festival and at Lincoln Center with composer Tan Dun. Cameron will play a wide variety of pieces ranging from music of the distant past to music of living composers.
