The night starts off with Happy Hour drink specials and the brilliant, young flute and harp duo, Gina Luciani and Charissa Barger. Formed at the Colburn Conservatory in 2008, the duo will feature music by Los Angeles based film composer, Jeremy Tisser, along with some favorites by Debussy, Faure, Ravel and Ibert!
The second half of the program, Cello Madness, will feature chamber music for the cello featuring the cello-stylings of Eileen Brownell and Michelle Elliott. The selections will run the gamut from Villa-Lobos to Irving Fine to Radiohead! Joining the chamber music action is one of the founding revolutionaries from the original Classical Revolution in San Francisco, violinist Adam Scow.
Classical Revolution: Los Angeles presents chamber music in relaxed, accessible venues throughout the greater Los Angeles area. Called an "addictive new series" by Mark Swed of the L.A. Times, concerts are performed at coffee shops, bars, clubs and even outdoors! Classical Revolution was founded in 2006 at the Revolution Cafe in San Francisco. The Classical Revolution model has spread around the world, with over 30 active chapters in cities around the US, Canada and Europe.
