This Wednesday, November 2nd at 5:30PM we will gather at Occupy LA. At 6PM, Los Angeles will march in solidarity with Occupy Oakland Protesters who were arrested and brutalized by Oakland Police and Occupy Oakland's call for a General Strike. The march will start at the Occupy LA encampment at City Hall and march through the financial district to make our voices heard. We cannot let the billionaire bankers and their paid thugs derail this movement against corporate domination and greed. Let's show a united, mass response to this brazen attack on our sisters and brothers. We demand justice, drop all charges now! Stop the attacks on all Occupy Protesters!

Here are FOUR WAYS that you can get involved in building for this historic day:

1) Press Conference: Tuesday, November 1st at 4PM @ Occupy LA (Meet at 1st and Main, City Hall).

We are finalizing the press release and will be sending it out today and tomorrow. We're faxing, emailing, and calling media contacts. If you have any media contacts please forward the press release and/or call them to make sure they know what's happening.

2) Sign and Banner Making: Tuesday, November 1st at 6PM @ Occupy LA (Meet near the fountain, South Lawn, City Hall).

Please bring canvas, paints, cardboard, markers, etc. We need to make posters and banners that show that we are marching in solidarity with Oakland!

3) Outreach: Tuesday, November 1st and Wednesday, November 2nd @ EVERYWHERE!

We have people reaching out to organizations, schools, unions, etc. across LA! If you are part of a group, listserv, have a twitter account--PLEASE do not hesitate to GET THE WORD OUT! Also, join the FACEBOOK EVENT PAGE: https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=141074635992126, share and invite all your FB friends!

Join up with our outreach crew on Wednesday from 3-5:30pm. We will be doing roving outreach in downtown LA and live silkscreening too (bring t-shirts, bandanas, and anything you want to mark with the Nov. 2nd graphic)!

4) COME TO THE MARCH! Wednesday, November 2nd at 5:30PM @ Occupy LA (Meet at 1st and Spring, City Hall).

We will meet up at 5:30PM and MARCH at 6PM. Join us, bring people, bring signs, let us know if you want to make a statement at the pre-march rally or the longer rally/speak-out after the march. Let people know that this is a historic day in Oakland and it can be a kick-off point for big things to come in LA! Oakland will be striking all day, and they have a march planned for 6PM too!
