Cake And Eat It

The Cake and Eat It Collective creates happenings, performances and visual works that deal with the underbelly of gift economy, fashion, anarchism and queer identities. Since 2002 the C&EI has been giving away copious amounts of free clothes, throwing fashion shows in dingey dinge holes, hosting anarchist variety shows and salons, giving away cursed gifts, staging riotous fashion marches, styling defendants for court whilst maintaining a year long boutique of free clothing and orchestrating an experimental opera tribute to Jean Genet.

The C&EI keeps on keeping it on, and is based in Denver and Los Angeles.
