STOP THE ATTACKS ON PUBLIC EDUCATION!
LAUSD handed out 4,600 Reduction in Force
notices in October. This is just one more in a long string of attacks and job cuts. This means that unless it is reversed, custodial workers, librarians, cafeteria workers, plant managers and other essential support staff are targeted. 990 will be laid off and all others will face transfers - often with reductions in hours and pay. Union members will be leafletting parents before school on Friday, November 19th and need our support. Go to the public school in your neighborhood with a banner or a sign protesting the layoffs.
