On Oct. 7, the U.S. war on Afghanistan will enter its 10th year. Despite the ever-shifting justifications for a continued presence and repeatedly delayed timelines for withdrawal, the White House and Pentagon have been incapable of concealing the colonial nature of the criminal war. As of last month, more U.S. troops had died during almost two years under President Obama than over seven years under President Bush.
Hear Analysis & Discussion on: * Afghanistan's history of underdevelopment, revolution and resistance. * The long-term objectives of the United States in Afghanistan. * Will the U.S. military begin to withdraw by the projected date of July 2011? * What dictates U.S. policy in Afghanistan—military strategy or politics?
Plus: Hear a Marxist explanation of imperialism to understand the systemic features that are behind the U.S. war drive.
