"Building Solidarity Across Race: A Community Forum Against Police Violence," sponsored by Leadership Development in Interethnic Relations and the Ida B. Wells Institute, will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2:00 pm, in the Community Room of the Asian Pacific American Legal Center, 1145 Wilshire Blvd., at Lucas, near downtown Los Angeles.

The trial of the former policeman who shot Oscar Grant begins in Los Angeles on June 1, the first time in the history of California that a police officer has been charged with murder in the line of duty.
This forum will look at ways to strengthen the movement for Justice for Oscar Grant and others across race.
