Freedom Socialist Party October Meeting—California’s Budget Crisis: The Rich Profit, Workers Pay
The governor and Legislature’s budget decisions to gut social services, lay-off public sector workers and decimate public education are designed to bolster privatization and benefit big industry and the well-to-do. Take part in a discussion with other working and poor folk about alternative solutions—like taxing the rich-- to the state budget mess. Join forces with others to demand that our taxes pay for human needs instead of endless wars, corporate bailouts and golden parachutes for CEO’s!
A home-cooked dinner will be served at 6:30pm for a modest donation. The meeting will be held at Solidarity Hall, 2170 W. Washington Bl. (off the 10 freeway at Western, on bus lines 35, 207 & 550)
