The October 22nd Coalition to Stop Police Brutality, Repression and the Criminalization of A Generation. The October 22nd Coalition is a national network of people from all walks of life who want to see an end to police brutality around the country. The Los Angles chapter was formed in 1995 as a response the blatant brutality that was happening everyday in L.A.
Since 1995 we have seen an increase in the cases of police brutality, murders committed by law enforcement, and repressive laws that target youth, minorities, and immigrants.
The October 22nd is committed to putting an end to this violent epidemic, educating communities about their rights, and working with family members and friends of those killed at the hands of law enforcement to help them seek justice for their loved ones.
If you would like to be part of the movement to stop police brutality please contact us. We can help you get active in L.A or help you set up a chapter in your city.
