Marcy Debates Cato on Health Care - Tomorrow October 12th - Topic will be health care reform with Doug Bandow, a representative from the libertarian, corporate-friendly Cato Institute. The Federalist Society, another right-wing institution, will stream the debate, please see link below.
Marcy Winograd is a champion of single-payer, will refute Cato claims that the answer is more health insurance companies driven by the profit motive. The answer, of course, is health care for people, not profit. FYI - Ron Williams, CEO of Aetna, pocketed -billion in salary and bonuses in 2008. It's enough to make you sick!
