Newly elected Rep. Judy Chu and city officials will discuss immigration reform Thursday at a town hall meeting hosted by the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles.
Chu will be joined by Assemblyman Ed Hernandez, D-West Covina, members of the Baldwin Park City Council, and representatives of the Catholic Church and Baldwin Park Chamber of Commerce.
Members of the public will also provide testimony about their experiences with immigration laws.
The panel will discuss immigration enforcement measures, activity in detention centers, immigrants in the military, and family unity issues.
