The way the mainstream media is talking, you'd think that the GM takeover and Chrysler bailouts, the rescues of bankers and speculators at AIG and Morgan Stanely mean that the Obama administration is turning socialist. It's not!
The goal of real socialism is working people's control of society, of a society oriented toward meeting human need, not generating profits for the rich. It would be a society of equality and justice, based on working people's own actions, which can end war, exploitation, racism, sexism and homophobia.
Sounds good...but how do we get there?
